I . まずは“doctor”の定義を英英辞典で見てみよう。
問1：（1）〜（7）の単語の意味を答えなさい。

別の辞書を見てみると、

以上はまともな辞書による定義ですが、時には、
A doctor is the only man that can ask a woman to take her clothes
off.
なんて定義もみかけますが・・・納得？
II . “doctor”という言葉に対するイメージは人それぞれでしょうが、
無意識のうちに思い込んでいるイメージもあるようです。そこで、第2問。
問2：次のなぞなぞ(riddle)に答えなさい。
A man and his young son were in an automobile accident.
The father was killed and the son, who was critically injured, was
rushed to
a hospital. As attendants wheeled the unconscious boy into the emergency
room, the doctor on duty looked at him and said, “Oh my God, it’s

IIＩ . 単語にはいろいろな意味があります。
特に医歯薬系では“普通”と違う意味で
使われる単語がたくさんあります。そこで、第3問。

IV . 単語というのは読めないとなかなか意味も浮かんできません。
そこで、日本語になっているけれども、カタカナとは読み方の違う
